The Cake Crate Company, LLC is a internet based bakery headquartered in Lithonia, Georgia, United States that specializes in an assortment of mini gourmet pound cakes. While our pound cakes are personal sized we guarantee you will not miss any of the full southern flavor.

The Cake Crate Company mini pound cake idea was originated in December of 2009. These small cakes were simply gifts for family and friends during the holiday season. As opposed to expensive gifts it was an opportunity to make the holidays a little more special by providing a personal touch through what we did best, baking. Three original flavors, sour cream, lemon, and strawberry, headlined the gift giving. By January 1, 2010 we decide to share this southern heritage with the world. Adding four more flavors, The Cake Crate Company experience had begun.

We adopted the, “It’s more than a cake. It’s an Experience.”, slogan as a pledge to customers that with every bite they get a taste of the old south, literally. Southern inspiration helped to create the logo and rustic packaging. And old family recipes provided the foundation for our original sour cream mini pound cake. These were the basic ingredients for The Cake Crate Company.

Commonly referred to as “The C.C.Co”, we made our first public appearance during the Gresham Park Softball Opening Day Ceremony on April 9^th 2010.

By June 2010, The Cake Crate Company opened its virtual doors with the launch of our internet storefront. With many more southern gourmet flavors being developed, The Cake Crate Company is continuing to represent its southern tradition wholeheartedly.
