Little Prince Purple Rain Baby Shower

A couple weekends ago I had the pleasure of styling a good friend of mine baby shower. My friend loves the color purple and with that in mind, I thought it would be great to have her a Purple Rain Baby shower. We decided since she was having a boy we need to go with a dark or royal purple , white and splash of silver. Since I am a Do- it yourself er, that is exactly what I did.

From customized games to the enlarge images to the party favors I put my creativity to work. Inspired by so many great planners and great blogs I follow, Ideas became a bit overwhelming. I become so inspired by others. We started by having a maternity photo shoot. Once that was complete we could use the images as part of the shower decor.
Custom labels put on the "purple activity package" with the clothes pins that were spray painted silver with a little purple glitter and hand written shower information

One of my favorite projects was the family tree branch, spray painted silver embellished with ribbon, rhinestone and pictures from the maternity photo session. Another idea was an Umbrella, how can you have a shower without an umbrella. Purchased at the Dollar Tree, spray painted purple and added paillettes to the top and hung fish line purple paper rain drops down to create a cute and unique table decoration.

Party Favors were handmade bath salts
(Recipe I had gotten out of the book) Big ass book of crafts they were put into Chinese containers and embellished with custom tag ribbon and netting.

Also I used purple and white tissue paper pom poms.. We had enlarge pictures from the maternity shoot to use as custom decor.
Oh what fun it was to put together a purple celebration. So glad and happy that I was able to be apart of a wonderful celebration for such a dear friend. Looking forward to the
New baby that is coming soon . May 2010!
